What has been clear in recent days is that one of the biggest challenges independents are facing, is that of cutting through the sheer volume of information out there, to architect a balanced and considered approach for life after lockdown. We have had several colleagues working on this for our independent practices and whilst the resources aren't intended to be exhaustive or a set of rules in any way, the feedback we have had from our own independent practices has been extremely positive in helping them conclude their own local plans for the next phase.

What we normally do is use these videos as a starting point and then let each practice adapt these and fine-tune to suit their own taste and objectives. Our team is busy pulling together all the video assets for our independent practices. However, our marketing team has offered to help a limited number of practices to personalise these video assets with your practice logo and specific details relating to your practice. We are not promising they will be able to do this for everyone, but they will be happy to help some of you on a first come first served basis where time allows.

Additionally, our practices in Ireland reopened last week, and they seem to be a couple of weeks ahead of us in terms of where they are in the cycle for reopening. In Ireland, 'routine' testing is already taking place. We have added a couple of videos below of the revised customer journey that they have implemented when starting up again. This is changing on a daily basis as they adapt further based on feedback, and should be helpful as a starting point.
